sariska-national-park-jaipur Sariska National Park is one of the most famous national parks of India. Initially, it was a game reserve for the Maharajas of Alwar. However, in 1982, it was finally declared a National Park & today it has become Jaipur's favorite vacation spot among people.
Location: Nestled in the Aravali Hills at the district of Alwar, Jaipur, Sariska National Park covers the land area of 800 sq that is divided into the dry deciduous forests, grasslands, sheer cliffs and rocky landscape.

Flora: The Flora in the park comprises - shrubs & grasses, and dry deciduous forests. 90% of land area in the park is covered with dhok tree that is home to numerous animal species. Besides, you can also spot numerous birds species in the park like - peafowl, sand grouse, golden- backed woodpeckers, and many more.

Attractions: Apart from rich flora and Fauna, there are some historic attractions too located in Sariska National Park such as - The Ancient Shiva Temples: Dating back to the 6th -13th century, The Kankwari Fort: A major historic structure, Jeep Safari: A major attraction of the park as it is the best way to explore the Sariska & The Sariska Palace: Built by Maharajas of Alwar, Sariska Palace has now been converted into a hotel.

Best Time to Visit. Though, Sariska National Park remains open all year, the best time to come on visit here is from October - June and January - February.
